Fortnite Sprite FAQ

What are Fortnite sprites?

Fortnite sprites are collectible companions in Chapter 7 Season 3 (Fortnite Runners). Find them in Sprite Chests and other loot during a match, extract them at an Extraction Site to unlock permanently, then spend Sprite Dust to summon them in future matches. Each sprite grants a unique passive ability that levels up during play.

How do I track my Fortnite sprite collection?

fnsprites.info is a free sprite tracker and checklist. Mark sprites collected, track mastery per variant, filter by rarity or theme, see abilities and summon costs, generate missing-sprite images for Discord, and share your progress with a link.

What are Gold, Gummy, and Galaxy sprite variants?

Most sprites have special variants: Gold grants 3× Sprite XP from eliminations, Gummy awards +20% Sprite Dust when you extract a sprite, and Galaxy gives +20% more ammunition when looting. Galaxy and Gummy are the rarest of the common specials. Gem (30% less fall damage), Holofoil (+5% rare finds), Cube (Overdrive in storm), and Quack (shared Sprite XP) are rarer collector variants. Rift is still unreleased.

When do Gem sprites release in Fortnite?

The Gem wave went live on Thursday, August 6, 2026 during New Sprite Day (about 9 AM ET). The eight live Gems are Water, Earth, Duck, Demon, Aura, Zero Point, Grim, and Llama. Gem Llama shipped earlier on July 30; Gem Grim was briefly vaulted then restored August 6. Gem Punk is still unreleased. Gem Hours on August 8 boosts spawn rates.

What do Gem sprites do?

Every Gem sprite grants 30% less fall damage in addition to its base sprite ability. They are useful for high-ground fights and mountainous POIs. Filter this tracker by the Gem theme to mark which ones you have extracted.

What is the best Fortnite sprite?

It depends on your playstyle. Zero Point is top-tier for defense with Shield Bubble Jr. on heal. Demon is strong for aggression with lifesteal. Earth and Burnt Peanut excel at loot. Water is the best free Rare starter. Boss boosts max HP and Shield; Striker helps rotations with Overdrive.

How do I get Sprite Dust in Fortnite?

Extract sprites at Extraction Sites to earn Sprite Dust. You can also place duplicate sprites and your equipped sprite into the Extraction Crate. Spend Sprite Dust at Extraction Sites to summon unlocked sprites, upgrade weapons, buy XP, or recover sprites lost in a match.

What is the rarest Fortnite sprite?

Grim is the rarest Mythic sprite with an extremely low Sprite Chest drop rate. Among original sprites, Zero Point is among the rarest Mythics. Gummy and Galaxy variants of any sprite are harder to find than Normal or Gold versions.

When do Batman, Air, and Seven sprites release?

They went live with Fortnite update v41.20 on July 16, 2026. Batman (Mythic) grants Bat Cape glide; Air (Rare) boosts movement and removes fall damage; Seven (Legendary) reveals enemy foot trails. Filter the tracker by type or theme to mark your progress.

Click a sprite card to mark it collected. Use Master once you have fully upgraded a sprite. Filter by type, rarity, or variant to find gaps in your checklist. Press Info for abilities, locations, summon costs, and drop chances. Share your collection or export images for trading posts.

When do Holofoil sprites release in Fortnite?

What do Holofoil sprites do?

Every Holofoil sprite grants a 5% increased chance for your entire squad to find rare sprite variants (Gold, Gummy, Galaxy) when looting chests. The bonus stacks per squad member running a Holofoil, making them valuable for collectors hunting rare variants late in the season.

How do I get Gold and Galaxy sprites?

Gold, Gummy, and Galaxy sprites drop from Sprite Chests at low rates. Epic runs weekend Power Hours (Golden Hour, Gummy Hour, Galaxy Hours) with boosted special-variant spawns. Use Holofoil sprites after July 9 for an extra 5% rare-find bonus while farming chests.
